Instead of running away from this church where I was deeply hurt, I keep going back. All the reasons not to go are overcome by the love of my brothers and sisters in Christ.
We view our autonomy as a sacred good, but nothing reminds us of our finiteness like someone banging on our castle wall, telling us to shut up.
For those who haven’t experienced a long season of singleness, it can be hard to know what to say to those who have. Let’s replace clichés with promises of Scripture.
